Linda Sprague and her team at Green's Appliance, Heating & Cooling are focused on providing the best customer care in the industry. Having a client satisfied is not enough, as any business can do that, but bringing a WOW factor and adding a personal touch is the experience they are determined to deliver on.

Part of that personal touch is taking the time to share product knowledge with each customer on ways they can bring more comfort to their home (or business) by adding heating efficiency and ability to improve your health too.

Air Filtration - Air filters are a central, but often under-appreciated part of a central HVAC system. They don't just filter out bits of pollen and dust that would otherwise circulate through the home and lower indoor air quality. They also provide a first line of defense against larger objects such as bits of loose insulation being pulled into the system where they could cause damage or present a fire risk. But if you don't change your air filter regularly, it can turn against you. Clogged air filters are the number one cause of HVAC system failure. Rather than purchasing the cheapest option at a local hardware store consider a high efficiency air filter that has a rubber seal on the filter to help contain thehouse hold airborne particles, including microscopic particles you can't see. Average cost is $50 and the filter lasts a year.

Air Purification - Most household indoor air contains pollutants that are harmful to humans and animals. Adding an air purifier to a residential forced-air HVAC system removes indoor pollutants and maintains healthy indoor air. Dust, animal dander, pollen, insect parts, mold and bacteria are common pollutants. Other indoor air contaminants come from volatile organic compounds present in household products like paint, pesticides, plywood and glue. Odors and musty smells from poorly ventilated buildings also contribute to poor indoor air quality. A GPS-2400 air purifier removes these airborne particulates. Clean-smelling air is one of the several benefits of installing the air purifier system and is an easy addition to any existing system.

Air Quality - Having too much moisture in the air can cause mold and mildew to grow in wet areas and attract unwanted insects and other creatures into your home. Not enough moisture in the air can cause health issues, damage your home and cost you more money, especially in the wintertime. Whole house humidifiers work hand-in-hand with your existing heating and cooling system to add humidity into the air. The benefits of a whole home humidifier include help your health, increase personal comfort, preserve your home as well as save energy and money.

Air Balancing - Have a room in your home that is always cold while another room is too hot or is one level of your house a different temp than another? Consider choking off the air flow where the thermostat is located. Doing this will help warm the outlying areas. It is also recommended to keep your run fan at the continuous "on" position to keep the air moving around the home.
